Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Sales Engineer to join our Smart Buildings team at SSE plc. This role offers flexibility across South West England, with a base in Chepstow. The position involves developing sales strategies, building relationships, managing pipelines, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver innovative building control solutions that reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement tailored sales strategies to increase BMS project revenue in your territory.
  2. Establish and nurture relationships with consultants, contractors, architects, and building owners to generate leads.
  3. Maintain a robust sales pipeline, achieving monthly and quarterly targets.
  4. Coordinate with engineering, project management, and marketing teams to ensure project success.
  5. Provide reports on pipeline status, conversion rates, and industry insights for strategic planning.
Qualifications
  • Experience in B2B sales within the Building Management Systems industry.
  • Passion for sustainability and smart building technologies.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven skills in relationship-building and negotiation.
  • Knowledge of BMS platforms such as Trend, Siemens, or Honeywell is desirable but not essential.
