Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a BMS Project Engineer to support delivery of Building Management System projects across commercial buildings. Based in London/South East, the role covers installation, commissioning and handover with exposure to various systems and customers.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with BMS software and controllers, familiarity with platforms like Trend or Niagara, and a solid understanding of HVAC controls.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a BMS Project Engineer or similar.
• Experience with BMS installations, upgrades and integrations.
• Knowledge of BMS software, controllers, field devices and building automation systems.
• Experience with platforms such as Trend, Niagara, Siemens, Schneider Electric or Distech Controls.
• Understanding HVAC controls and building services.
• Ability to fault-find and work independently on site.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of BMS projects from initial installation through to commissioning and final handover.
• Carry out BMS software engineering, system configuration and programming in line with project requirements.
• Assist with the integration of BMS controllers, field devices and third-party building systems.
• Conduct site visits to support installation, testing, fault resolution and commissioning activities.
• Work with project managers, subcontractors and other engineers to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Review project specifications, drawings and technical documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure systems are tested, commissioned and handed over in accordance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers where required.
