Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced BMS Project Engineer to join our growing projects team in Glasgow. This hybrid role combines home working, site visits and office-based work, overseeing small to medium BMS projects from order to completion with involvement in design, commissioning and customer management.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of Siemens and/or Trend systems, BMS design and control strategies, plus experience coordinating engineers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Experienced BMS engineer with Siemens and/or Trend systems familiarity.
• Background in BMS design, control strategies, engineering and commissioning.
• Good understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical plant.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills; experience managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage single or multiple BMS projects from order through to completion.
• Design, engineer and commission BMS solutions where required.
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors, labour requirements and project schedules.
• Manage project budgets, procurement and financial performance.
• Oversee health and safety requirements, including site audits.
• Carry out site surveys to support quotations and system design.
• Liaise with customers, colleagues and contractors throughout project delivery.
• Undertake hands-on BMS engineering activities when project workload allows.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required standards.

About You

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience managing projects, coordinating engineers or supervising subcontractors.
• Tridium or Delta experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
• Data centre experience would be beneficial but isn't essential.
• Strong communication, organisation and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
• CSCS card or equivalent qualification.
