Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking a skilled BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Scotland Projects Team, ideally based within reasonable travelling distance of Bellshill. The role offers a highly competitive salary (£45,000 - £55,000) plus a company car, pension and healthcare, with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and the option to buy extra days.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BMS commissioning engineer.
• Experience with BMS platforms (Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Honeywell or Schneider).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building controls.

Responsibilities

• Commission, configure and optimise BMS hardware and software.
• Commission and complete BMS installations across project sites.
• Integrate third-party systems including HVAC, lighting and energy controls.
• Test, fault-find and optimise BMS systems for delivery.
• Interpret electrical drawings and control schematics.
• Work with project engineers, managers, subcontractors and customers.
• Deliver training and handovers to customers and facilities teams.
• Ensure high quality, safety and customer service during delivery.

BMS Commissioning Engineer

£45,000 - £55,000 + Company Car + Pension + Healthcare

We're looking for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Scotland Projects Team, ideally based within reasonable travelling distance of Bellshill.

This is a great opportunity to join one of the UK's leading Building Management Systems specialists, working on a diverse range of projects across Scotland and delivering high-quality building control solutions across commercial, industrial and public sector environments.

What You'll Do

• Commission, configure and optimise BMS hardware and software
• Commission and complete BMS installations across multiple project sites
• Integrate third-party systems including HVAC, lighting and energy management controls
• Test, fault find and optimise BMS systems to ensure successful project delivery
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and project delivery
• Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and technical documentation
• Work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, subcontractors and customers
• Assist with project documentation including point schedules, descriptions of operation, graphics and network architecture
• Deliver training and system handovers to customers and facilities teams
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and customer service throughout project delivery

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Honeywell or Schneider
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building controls and energy management systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and control wiring diagrams
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
• A proactive and professional approach to project delivery
• Ideally based within reasonable travelling distance of Bellshill, with flexibility to travel to project sites across Scotland as required
