Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is hiring a BMS Engineer to support UK & Europe operations. The role covers on-site reactive BMS service work across the Midlands, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and London, with international travel to countries like Spain, Portugal, France and Ireland.

You will diagnose faults in BMS controls, sensors, and network communications, work with Bureau engineers on corrective actions, and ensure proper testing of field devices and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience working with building management systems (BMS).
• Willing to travel internationally.
• Strong fault finding in electrical control panels.
• Understanding of HVAC plant and systems.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Johnson Controls or Delta Controls.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, M-Bus, KNX or other protocols.

Responsibilities

• On-site reactive BMS service works and fault diagnosis.
• Diagnose and rectify faults affecting BMS controls, field devices, control panels and associated electrical systems.
• Collaborate with Bureau engineers to understand faults and agree corrective actions.

BMS Engineer - UK & Europe

Alecto Recruitment is working with a very established independent systems house. Specialists within building management systems (BMS).

The business works on some of the most interesting projects in the UK along with into Europe and due to their continued growth are looking to hire an experienced BMS Engineer.

The Role:

This position will predominantly cover areas such as: Midlands, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and London but will also have a requirement to travel into Europe to countries such as: Spain, Portugal, France, Ireland etc.

The position is to provide both on-site reactive BMS service works.

Diagnose and rectify faults affecting BMS Controls, field devices, control panels and associated electrical systems.

Work with Bureau engineers to understand faults and agree appropriate corrective actions.

Test sensors, actuators, valves, control panels, wiring and network communications.

Requirements:

• We are looking for you to have strong practical experience working within building management systems (BMS)
• Ideally enjoy travel and be open to travelling internationally
• Good electrical knowledge and good fault finding ability in control panels
• Understanding of HVAC Plant
• Experience with platforms such as Trend, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Schneider Electric, Honeywell, Johnson controls or Delta Controls
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, M-Bus, KNX or other protocols

Salary:

£50,000 - £55,000
