Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a BMS Engineer to support performance, reliability, and optimisation of Building Management Systems across client sites in Chester and surrounding areas.

You will deliver Planned Preventive Maintenance on Trend, Tridium/Niagara, and Distech platforms, diagnose issues, and implement improvements. The role also involves surveys, proposals, and small works related to BMS upgrades, with reactive callout support as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience with Trend Controls and/or Tridium/Niagara platforms.
• Ability to modify Trend 963, IQVision software, and related schematics.
• Experience with Modbus, MBus, BACnet or similar integration protocols, plus HVAC knowledge.
• Strong proficiency with BMS engineering tools, ideally with an electrical bias.
• Good understanding of IT networking principles including IP configuration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) across multiple BMS platforms.
• Diagnose, recommend and implement system improvements and optimisation strategies.
• Carry out surveys, proposals, quotations, and small works related to BMS upgrades.
• Respond to reactive callouts with fast, professional resolution of BMS issues.
• Collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager and national BMS team for consistent service.
