Job summary

Skilled Careers is seeking a BMS Project Engineer / BMS Design Engineer in London to join a team delivering major Intelligent Building and ELVS packages. You will take technical ownership of BMS/EMS design through the full project lifecycle across the City, coordinating with stakeholders from design to handover.

The role combines design expertise with practical site and commissioning experience, with a clear path to broader project engineering responsibilities on a new project from December.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in BMS engineering, ideally combining design and commissioning exposure.
• Strong understanding of HVAC and BMS controls and electrical interfaces.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, control and network drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support on a live City of London project, taking defined technical and design work packages.
• Progress towards full ownership of BMS/EMS technical delivery, preparing to lead a new project from December.
• Act as the technical link between project management, design, software, installation and commissioning teams.
• Review project specifications, identify scope gaps, technical risks and non-compliances, and raise technical queries where required.
• Maintain records of technical assumptions, design decisions, project risks and design changes.
