Job summary

CBSbutler Holdings Limited trading as CBSbutler is seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning lifecycle for central London projects. You will oversee pre-commissioning through to final handover, commissioning BMS control panels and third-party interfaces across multiple sites.

The role requires on-site testing, client witness tests, and close collaboration with project managers to ensure design compliance and high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience commissioning BMS systems (Trend, Schneider, Tridium, Distech, Delta).
• Solid understanding of building services (M&E) and industry standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet demanding deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and valid CSCS card.
• Mentor junior team members and take the lead when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full commissioning lifecycle of Building Management Systems, from pre-commissioning checks through to final handover.
• Commission BMS control panels, third-party interfaces, and associated mechanical/electrical plant.
• Conduct off-site inspections, software loading, and graphics validation.
• Carry out on-site testing to ensure systems meet design specifications.
• Participate in commissioning meetings and client witness tests.
• Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to ensure technical delivery and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records, site diaries, and commissioning documentation.
• Identify additional works on site and assist with variation claims.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and that test equipment is properly calibrated.

We're working with a leading specialist in building automation and energy management systems, recognised for delivering high-performance BMS solutions across commercial and industrial environments. They're looking for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team and support a variety of projects across central London.

The Role:
