Job summary

Solutions Engineering Recruitment is seeking a BMS Commissioning & Service Engineer to cover Greater London and the Home Counties. The role focuses on commissioning new installations and refurbishments, with service, maintenance, fault finding and system optimisation across client sites.

You will work with various BMS platforms, including Trend/Tridium Niagara, and be involved from software modifications to client handover. A company car/allowance and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience commissioning BMS systems.
• Strong service and fault-finding experience would be advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of Trend and/or Tridium Niagara.
• Experience modifying software, graphics and control strategies.
• Good understanding of HVAC plant and associated building services.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Commission new and refurbished BMS installations in line with project specifications and sequences of operation.
• Configure, test and optimise BMS systems, including graphics, alarms, schedules and control strategies.
• Carry out software modifications and improvements to existing BMS installations.
• Complete planned maintenance, reactive service and fault-finding visits across customer sites.
• Diagnose faults across BMS controllers, field devices, HVAC plant and communication networks.
• Support the integration of BMS with HVAC, lighting, metering and other building services.
• Assist with energy optimisation and improving system performance.
• Complete commissioning documentation, test sheets and technical reports.
• Provide client demonstrations, training and technical support during project handover.

Are you an experienced BMS Commissioning or Service Engineer looking for a new opportunity with an established and growing controls specialist?

My client is an independently owned BMS business delivering a wide range of control solutions across commercial, healthcare, education and industrial environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team with a BMS Commissioning & Service Engineer covering Greater London and the Home Counties.

The role is primarily commissioning focused, covering new installations and refurbishments alongside service, maintenance, fault finding and system optimisation across existing sites.

You’ll be involved from software modifications and strategy implementation through to testing, commissioning and client handover, with exposure to a range of BMS platforms and building technologies.

The business offers ongoing technical and manufacturer training, with genuine opportunities for career progression. The role would suit an experienced Commissioning Engineer or a strong Service Engineer looking to move further into commissioning.

The Role
