Job summary

Impact Control Systems Limited is seeking a BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our London-based team. You will lead commissioning for various projects across London and the South East, ensuring BEMS installations meet project requirements and client expectations.

You will optimise building energy performance, enhance operational efficiency, and contribute to sustainability goals while coordinating with project managers and the client.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Experience with Trend, Tridium or Siemens BMS systems.
• Solid technical knowledge in building energy management systems and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning process for project installations.
• Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and integration with building systems.
• Develop commissioning plans and ensure activities align with timelines.
• Conduct functional testing of BEMS components and verify operation against design specs.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning and optimise performance.
• Generate commissioning reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Act as on-site client contact, communicating progress and providing technical support.

BMS Commissioning Engineer, London

Due to an increase in workload, Impact Control Systems are recruiting a BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our team working on projects in London and the South East.

The role will involve working on a variety of projects, ensuring that BEMS installations are commissioned effectively, meeting project requirements and client expectations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising building energy performance, enhancing operational efficiency, and achieving sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning process for project installations
• Coordinate with the project manager and project stakeholders to ensure a smooth-running project and integration with other building systems to ensure seamless operation
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to develop commissioning plans and ensure that commissioning activities are completed in line with these timelines
• Conduct functional testing of BEMS components and subsystems to verify proper operation and adherence to design specifications
• Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning phase. Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting procedures to address system problems and optimise performance
• Generate comprehensive commissioning reports, documenting test procedures, results, and any deviations from design specifications. Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities and project documentation
• As the on site engineer you will be the first point of contact for the client, you will communicate commissioning progress, address concerns, and provide technical support as needed whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
• Provide training and support to building operators and maintenance personnel on BMS operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures
• Stay up to date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and best practices related to building energy management systems. Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the enhancement of commissioning methodologies and tools
