Job summary

BMSI is seeking an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Scotland Projects Team, ideally based within reasonable travelling distance of Bellshill. You will work on diverse building management projects across Scotland, delivering high-quality control solutions for commercial, industrial and public sector environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer.
• Experience with major BMS platforms: Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Honeywell or Schneider.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and energy management systems.
• Ability to read electrical/control drawings.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel across Scotland and live near Bellshill.

Responsibilities

• Commission, configure and optimise BMS hardware and software.
• Commission and complete BMS installations on multiple sites.
• Integrate third-party systems including HVAC and lighting.
• Test, fault-find and optimise BMS systems for project delivery.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning.
• Interpret electrical and control drawings and schematics.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, Managers, subcontractors and customers.
• Assist with project documentation (point schedules, descriptions of operation, graphics, network architecture).
• Deliver training and system handovers to customers.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and customer service.

We’re looking for an experienced BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Scotland Projects Team, ideally based within reasonable travelling distance of Bellshill.

What You’ll Do

• Commission, configure and optimise BMS hardware and software

• Commission and complete BMS installations across multiple project sites

• Test, fault find and optimise BMS systems to ensure successful project delivery

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning and project delivery

• Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and technical documentation

• Work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, subcontractors and customers

• Assist with project documentation including point schedules, descriptions of operation, graphics and network architecture

• Deliver training and system handovers to customers and facilities teams

• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and customer service throughout project delivery

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer

• Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Honeywell or Schneider

• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building controls and energy management systems

• Ability to read and interpret electrical and control wiring diagrams

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

• A proactive and professional approach to project delivery

• Ideally based within reasonable travelling distance of Bellshill, with flexibility to travel to project sites across Scotland as required
