Job summary

Cyclescheme is seeking a driven BMS Commissioning Engineer to join our Projects Team, delivering innovative building management solutions across commercial, industrial and public sector environments. You will work with experienced engineers and project managers, taking ownership of projects and sharing knowledge to ensure successful delivery.

You will commission and optimise BMS hardware and software, integrate third‑party systems, and test and handover systems to facilities teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and building controls.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and control wiring diagrams.
• Experience with major BMS platforms (Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Honeywell, Schneider).

Responsibilities

• Commission, configure and optimise BMS hardware and software.
• Complete BMS installations across multiple project sites.
• Integrate third‑party systems (HVAC, lighting, energy controls).
• Test, fault‑find and optimise BMS systems for successful delivery.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning.

What You'll Do

• Commission, configure and optimise BMS hardware and software.
• Commission and complete BMS installations across multiple project sites.
• Integrate third‑party systems, including HVAC, lighting and energy management controls.
• Test, fault‑find and optimise BMS systems to ensure successful project delivery.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues throughout commissioning and project delivery.
• Interpret electrical drawings, control schematics and technical documentation.
• Work closely with Project Engineers, Project Managers, subcontractors and customers.
• Assist with project documentation, including point schedules, descriptions of operation, graphics and network architecture.
• Deliver customer training and system handovers to facilities teams.
• Maintain high standards of quality, health and safety, and customer service throughout project delivery.

Experience & Requirements

• Proven experience as a BMS Commissioning Engineer.
• Experience with BMS platforms such as Trend, Siemens, Tridium, Honeywell or Schneider.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, building controls and energy management systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and control wiring diagrams.
• Excellent fault‑finding, diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer‑facing skills.
• A proactive, professional approach to project delivery.
• Willingness to travel across the Midlands and surrounding areas as required.
