Job summary

Colas Ltd are seeking a motivated Terminal Operative to join our Avonmouth Docks depot. The role involves operating pumps, attaching hoses, and loading bitumen into customer tankers while maintaining strict safety standards.

Full training is provided to develop practical skills in a hands-on environment. The position operates a 45-hour rotating shift pattern from 4:00am to 7:00pm, including some weekends, with a salary of £29,000–£32,000 plus a 33% shift allowance, and potential to earn an OTE

Qualifications

• Industrial background or willingness to develop practical skills in a hands-on role.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate computer systems.
• Good health & safety awareness and positive attitude to work and learning.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumps and handle terminal activities at Avonmouth Bitumen facility.
• Attach hoses and load bitumen into customer tankers, operate computer systems.
• Support Depot Manager to ensure safe, efficient storage and supply of bitumen; follow safety procedures.
