Job summary

Colas Ltd is seeking an Assistant Terminal Manager at its Avonmouth facility to oversee bitumen handling and blending. You will report to the Terminal Manager and lead a team of operators and contractors, ensuring safe, efficient operations and compliance with QHSSE regulations.

The role requires engineering qualifications and at least two years' managerial experience, plus a health and safety qualification and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Two years’ plus experience in a similar or related role, including team management.
• Health and safety qualification essential or demonstrable experience.
• Clean driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all terminal operations including import/export of bitumen by ship and road, storage, blending, and dispatch.
• Support adherence to safety and environmental standards, scheduling, stock and maintenance management.
• Coordinate staff rotas and training for 24-hour operations when required and act as first point of emergency contact.
