Job summary

Belong is seeking a Bistro Assistant to look after customers visiting the Bistro and to serve guests attending corporate or private events within our village venue. You will help with light meals, ensure customers are well looked after, and maintain a friendly, efficient service in a stylish environment.

The role is part-time (6 hours per week with overtime available) and pays £13.45 per hour. DBS check is required as part of our recruitment process, and eligibility rules apply for sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing hospitality or catering is desirable.
• Experience serving guests at events is advantageous.
• Basic Food Hygiene knowledge or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Look after customers visiting the Bistro and serve guests at corporate or private events.
• Ensure guests have a positive experience and feel attended to.
• Assist with light catering tasks and maintain cleanliness during shifts.

As a Bistro Assistant you will be responsible for looking after customers visiting the Bistro and for serving guests attending corporate or private events within one of the function suites. Whether it is an intimate dinner for two in the Bistro, a gathering of friends and family for Sunday lunch or a celebration party in the village Venue, you will work to ensure our customers feel they have been well looked after and leave happy to return, confident that their experience next time will be just as pleasurable and memorable.

Requirements

• Experience of serving customers in a catering/ non catering environment
