Job summary

Falcon Green in Birmingham is seeking an Estimator to join the pre-construction team. Based in our Birmingham office, you will help prepare cost estimates and tender submissions, and support the bid process for multiple projects.

You will review drawings and specifications, obtain subcontractor quotes, produce cost plans, identify risks, and explore value engineering opportunities while liaising with the supply chain and design teams.

Qualifications

Experience as Estimator in the construction industry.
Experience working for a Main Contractor.
Strong understanding of construction methods, costs and tendering processes.
Good commercial awareness.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage tenders and work to deadlines.

Responsibilities

Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Producing accurate cost plans.
Identifying potential risks and opportunities within tenders.
Exploring value engineering opportunities.
Liaising with subcontractors and the wider supply chain.
Working closely with commercial, design and operational teams.
Supporting tender presentations and adjudications.
Assisting with the handover of successfully secured projects to the delivery team.
