Job summary

Science Creates is seeking a Lab & H&S Coordinator to keep our biotech lab spaces safe, compliant and well maintained. This hands-on, in-person role supports members and staff with laboratory operations, health & safety, risk assessments and site requirements.

You will work with colleagues, tenants and suppliers to keep environments running smoothly, manage documentation, inductions, training and ensure adherence to COSHH, containment and waste processes across our three locations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a biotech lab.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and SOPs.
• Ability to manage lab documentation and training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth day-to-day running of shared biotech lab spaces.
• Coordinate lab inspections and document actions.
• Maintain compliance with lab services (water, gas, electricity, waste).
• Support H&S committees and risk assessments.
• Assist with lab safety processes and incident reporting.
• Maintain waste records and equipment inventories.
