Job summary

Science Creates Services Ltd is seeking a Lab & Health & Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day operation of our biotech lab spaces, ensuring safety, compliance and smooth running of sites.

In this hands-on role you will manage lab operations, risk assessments, and coordination with tenants, suppliers and maintenance teams to enable researchers and startups to work effectively and safely.

Qualifications

• Biotech lab experience is essential.
• Experience drafting risk assessments and working to SOPs.
• Familiarity with COSHH and GMO Contained Use Regs is advantageous.
• Proficient with common office software (G Suite, email, spreadsheets).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of shared biotech lab spaces and provide inductions/training.
• Coordinate and document lab inspections across sites and follow up on actions.
• Ensure lab services are maintained and compliant (water, gas, electricity, waste) with maintenance teams.
• Assist with H&S processes and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
• Liaise with tenant companies, suppliers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
