Job summary

R&D Partners in Greater London is seeking a Scientific Data Engineer to help drive innovation in gene therapy and rare diseases through robust data infrastructure and scalable workflows. You will build data models, pipelines, and ELN templates, develop SQL queries and dashboards, and collaborate with data scientists and lab researchers to enable data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Bioprocessing, Biochemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• Experience with data science or data engineering in data-intensive projects.
• Proficiency in SQL and data querying.
• Familiarity with ELNs such as Benchling.
• Knowledge of GitHub.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain R&D data infrastructure to support scientific workflows.
• Build SQL queries, dashboards, and reporting solutions for data access.
• Support data analysis with data mining, exploration, and ML projects.
• Ensure data quality and lifecycle governance.
• Provide training and support for R&D software tools.
