Job summary

Level Zero Health seeks a hands-on biophysical technician to run binding experiments (SPR, GCI, ITC or BLI) and characterize receptor–hormone interactions. You’ll work on ligand kinetics, maintain instruments, and ensure data quality to refine receptors for real-time biosensors.

You’ll join a fast-moving startup focused on biosensor tech, with opportunities to grow, troubleshoot, and collaborate closely with scientists; occasional travel to New York may be required as projects advance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years hands-on experience with biophysical characterization instruments (SPR, GCI, ITC or BLI).
• Experience with protein or small‑molecule binding studies and basic kinetic analysis.
• Awareness of common artefacts in binding assays and careful record‑keeping.

Responsibilities

• Run binding experiments on receptor–hormone interactions using GCI, SPR and ITC per established methods.
• Prepare samples, buffers and sensor chips; maintain instruments for data quality.
• Measure kinetics and affinity; identify data artefacts and troubleshoot failures.
• Troubleshoot non‑specific binding, carry‑over and optimize buffers and cleaning protocols.
• Support method refinement for challenging targets; run assays in realistic samples.
• Document methods and results clearly and share findings with the team.
