Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of Spirax Group, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support development and production of single-use products in Havant. You will collaborate with Product Management, Design Engineering, and Production to deliver high-quality outcomes in biopharma and medical device contexts.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering and/or equivalent industrial experience.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering in a similar role.
• Experience supporting projects in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Experience or exposure to development of biopharmaceutical processing components and/or single-use systems is desirable.
• Proven experience of process validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Support process development activities for new and existing products.
• Research and contribute to the application of bioprocessing manufacturing technologies and processes.
• Assist with prototype builds and testing in collaboration with Design Engineering, contributing to test plans and process validation activities.
• Record and analyse data from product development testing, providing summaries and conclusions to the project team.
• Work with local and global validation teams to support product validation in line with industry standards.
• Contribute technical input to product cost and pricing discussions.
• Work closely with operations teams to troubleshoot technical issues during planning and manufacture.
• Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with monitoring team progress and contribute to KPI reporting in daily SDT meetings.
• Support reviews of existing processes and workflows to help improve productivity and quality.
• Assist with the introduction of new production equipment, supporting installation, testing, and integration into existing systems.
