Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Biomedical Scientist to join the busy Microbiology laboratory at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. The role offers training, extensive service coverage, and opportunities to work across sections with full support.

Applicants should be HCPC registered, have a Biomedical Science degree, and experience in NHS Microbiology. The department provides Serology, Virology, PCR and automated analysers, with weekend/bank holiday/on-call rotas.

Formación

• BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science and HCPC registration are required.
• Current HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist is essential.
• Experience in NHS Microbiology laboratory is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare biomedical specimens and materials.
• Analyse samples using standard microbiology techniques.
• Record patient data accurately on the laboratory information system.
