Job Opportunity: Biomedical Scientist in Histopathology at Ipswich Hospital

At Ipswich Hospital, we are seeking a dedicated Biomedical Scientist in Histopathology to join our team. You will work within a busy, friendly environment that supports your training and development.

You should be a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with a BSc degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent, along with evidence of CPD and experience in Histopathology.

Key Responsibilities

1. Undertake testing and processing of biomedical specimens, analyze and record results, and enter information into laboratory IT systems.
2. Work flexibly to meet service needs, which may include extended hours.
3. Supervise and/or train less experienced staff in your area of expertise.
4. Handle human body fluids, tissues, and hazardous chemicals, including blood, pus, urine, feces, and respiratory secretions.
5. Maintain and promote a professional image of the organization.
6. Participate in maintaining our quality management system.
