University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust in Chesterfield is looking for a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Haematology and Blood Transfusion departments. The role is Band 5 (Annex 21) on a permanent contract, full time 37.5 hours per week, with participation in a 24/7 rota after training.

The successful candidate will work on Sysmex XN9000, CS5100 and IH1000 analysers, support quality management, and contribute to 24/7 service delivery while maintaining high

Formación

• IBMS accredited BSc in biomedical sciences or equivalent.
• HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist.
• Working towards IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Haematology & Transfusion (Band 5).
• Working towards MSc or higher specialist diploma in biomedical sciences.

Responsabilidades

• Trainable to join 24/7 shift system including early, late, night, and bank holidays.
• Process and validate patient specimens on Sysmex XN9000 and CS5100.
• Report blood film morphology and cross-match transfusion samples.
