Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Clinical Biochemistry team at Royal Bournemouth Hospital. This Band 5, full-time permanent role offers 37.5 hours per week with cross-site duties across the Trust.

Base location is Royal Bournemouth Hospital, with duties across sites. The post requires HCPC registration and an honours degree in a biological science, plus IBMS registration portfolio. A commitment to CPD is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyse blood, body fluids, tissues and cells to aid diagnosis and monitor treatment.
• Organise and deliver clinical pathology services to maintain high patient care standards.
• Assist in teaching and developing trainee staff and support workers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Biochemistry developments as part of CPD.
