Job summary

Catering is seeking a qualified technician to provide daily repair, preventive maintenance, and asset management of medical devices across hospital locations in the South West. You must be resident in the UK with full right to work and have UK hospital experience.

The role involves performing PMs, completing repairs, and maintaining service documentation, with travel to different sites and adherence to safety and SOPs. Competitive benefits and a £6K car allowance accompany permanent employment.

Qualifications

  • Certified OEM trainings must be completed.
  • HNC in Electrical Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification in engineering, electronics, or medical technologies.
  • Excellent customer relationship skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • 2-5 years in healthcare environment with experience on medical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Travel to various sites to perform corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Complete repairs as required on medical equipment per manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and PMs as outlined in Althea procedures.
  • Support customers to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations.
  • Complete admin needed to close repairs and PMs per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Meet with OEM service staff and management as required.

About the role

To provide daily repair, preventative maintenance, and asset management of medical devices within various hospital locations whilst ensuring outstanding customer support and building long term relationship. Please note you must be resident in the UK with full right work. Any applications of candidates not based in the UK will sadly be rejected. Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Support the site manager / team leader as required and in achieving contractual KPI’s.
  • Complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines
  • Complete all associated administrative work in completing repairs and preventative maintenance as outlined in Althea procedures.
  • Support customers whenever needed to ensure minimal disruption to the operation of the hospital.
  • Complete associated admin needed to close repairs and PMs as outlined Standard Operating Procedures
  • Travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
  • Maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment
  • Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary
  • Schedule and complete workload for customers within assigned area
  • Maintain service documentation in line with business requirements
  • Meet with OEM service staff and management when requiredThe successful candidate will have the following related skills / experience:
