Job summary

BWSC is seeking a Plant Manager for the Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant in Lincolnshire. You will report to the Project Director, oversee on-site staff, and coordinate operations, maintenance, safety, and performance across the biomass facility.

Qualifications

• Strong technical education, e.g., Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineer, preferably with a commercial background.
• Significant experience in the Power Industry in a managerial role, preferably with biomass-fired plants.
• Experience with MS Office and/or similar software, finance and accounting, and management-level reporting.
• Experience with safety legislation and environmental permits; ISO9001/14001/45001 and their application.
• Experienced people manager with adaptability and proactive, long-term focus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the site operations, maintenance, administration, and personnel matters.
• Coordinate fuel reception, plans, budgets, reports, and safety/environmental guidelines.
• Develop biomass project business plans and monitor variances with corrective actions.
• Oversee asset performance, production optimisation, and long-term profitability.
• Lead the site management team and foster cross-functional collaboration across regions.
