Location: St Albans, AL4 area.

Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm

Contract: Permanent

Qualification Requirement: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Role Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding Biology lessons across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5 depending on experience.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to engage students, stretch their understanding, and foster a deep interest in scientific inquiry.
  • Implement effective assessment practices to monitor progress, provide meaningful feedback, and support student attainment.
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management and create a positive, inclusive classroom climate conducive to learning.
  • Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and whole‑school initiatives.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and wider school activities as required.
