Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a dedicated Biology Teacher to join a secondary school in Leeds, with an immediate start for a long-term placement and ongoing support from a specialist consultant. You will plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons for KS3/KS4, assess progress and maintain excellent behaviour management to help students reach their potential.

We are committed to supporting our teachers throughout their placements, providing guidance and opportunities to develop their teaching experience while making a positive impact on students' learning and development.

We are looking to appoint a qualified Biology Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Biology Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Biology lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, assessing student progress, maintaining excellent classroom management and supporting students in achieving their academic potential.

The successful Biology Teacher will have

• QTS with a Biology specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)


• Experience teaching Biology across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4


• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE Biology


• Excellent classroom management skills


• Strong communication and organisational skills


• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
