Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Biology Teacher for a Leeds secondary school on a full-time, long-term basis with an immediate start. You will plan and deliver engaging Biology lessons across KS3 and KS4, assess progress and maintain excellent classroom management.

The ideal candidate holds a QTS with Biology, has strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE Biology, and demonstrates excellent communication and organisational skills. A supportive team and ongoing CPD are provided.

We are committed to supporting our teachers throughout their placements, providing guidance and opportunities to develop their teaching experience while making a positive impact on students' learning and development.

We are looking to appoint a qualified Biology Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis, with an immediate start available. The successful Biology Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Biology lessons across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, assessing student progress, maintaining excellent classroom management and supporting students in achieving their academic potential.

The successful Biology Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Biology specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching Biology across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and GCSE Biology
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
