Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated Biologist to join an innovative Biotechnology company based in London. As the Biologist, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the discovery pipeline by contributing cell biology expertise to the experimental biology group.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties as the Biologist will be varied; however, the key responsibilities are as follows:

1. Develop and implement the next-generation in vitro T-cell receptor (TCR) discovery platform.
2. Utilize cutting-edge technologies including next-generation sequencing, automation, and high-throughput display techniques to encompass all aspects of TCR discovery and optimization.
3. Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with data scientists and product engineers.

Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

1. A PhD in immunology, cell biology, biochemistry, or a related biochemical discipline, or a BSc/MSc with equivalent lab-based experience.
2. Proven industry experience working with TCRs or designing antibody/TCR-based libraries, applying these experimentally, and managing research projects within an industrial setting.
3. Practical experience with biochemical and cell-based characterization methods, including in vitro biochemical assays (ELISA, SPR, Flow Cytometry) and functional assays (e.g., T-cell based functional assays).
