Job summary

Astute People is seeking a Biogas Site Operator for a renewable energy plant near Mansfield. The role ensures safe, compliant operation of the anaerobic digestion plant and maintains high health and safety standards.

You will be responsible for day-to-day plant running, basic maintenance, operating mobile plant, and joining the on-call rota. Driving and mobile-plant licences are preferred. A competitive salary and benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in anaerobic digestion or similar processing environment.
• Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of the anaerobic digestion plant.
• Carry out basic first line maintenance (e.g., isolating and changing pumps).
• Operate mobile plant (telehandler or loading shovel).
• Participate in the on-call rota.

Job description

Astute’s Renewables team is partnering with a leading producer of biogas to recruit a Site Operator for their renewable energy plant near Mansfield.

The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to £35,000 and excellent benefits package

Responsibilities and duties of the Biogas Site Operator role

Reporting To The Plant Manager You Will

• Support with the day to day running of the anaerobic digestion plant
• Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps
• Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel
• Take part in the on-call rota
• Monitoring the pant via the SCADA
• Keeping the site clean and tidy
• Maintaining high levels of health & safety
• Other duties as required

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training
• Engineering qualification/certificate is desired
• Full UK Driving Licence

Personal skills

• Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment
• Mobile plant experience
• First line maintenance experience
• Agricultural experience is highly desired
• Great work ethic
