Job summary

Astute is recruiting a Biogas Site Operator for a renewable energy plant in Doncaster. You will help run the anaerobic digestion facility, perform basic maintenance, and operate mobile plant while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires shift work and offers a salary up to £35,000 plus shift allowance and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Telehandler/Loader/Tractor Licence or in-house training is required.
• Engineering qualification/certificate is desired.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day running of the anaerobic digestion plant.
• Carry out basic first line maintenance (e.g., isolating and changing pumps).
• Operate mobile plant such as telehandler or loading shovel.
• Work on a shift rotation.
• Monitor the plant via the SCADA system.
• Keep the site clean and tidy; maintain high health & safety standards.
• Perform other duties as required.

Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a leading producer of biogas to recruit a Site Operator for their renewable energy plant in Doncaster.

The Site Operative plays a vital part in ensuring the site is run correctly and high standards of health & safety are maintained. The role comes with a salary of up to £35,000 + shift allowance and excellent benefits package

Responsibilities and duties of the Biogas Site Operator role

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:

• Support with the day to day running of the anaerobic digestion plant
• Carrying out basic first line maintenance, such as isolating and changing pumps
• Operating mobile plant, such as a telehandler or loading shovel
• Working on a shift rotation
• Monitoring the pant via the SCADA
• Keeping the site clean and tidy
• Maintaining high levels of health & safety
• Other duties as required

Professional qualifications

• Telehandler/Loading Shovel/Tractor Licence or in-house training
• Engineering qualification/certificate is desired
• Full UK Driving Licence

Personal skills

• Previous operator experience in a similar processing environment
• Mobile plant experience
• First line maintenance experience
• Agricultural experience is highly desired
• Great work ethic
