Job summary

Eurofins Scientific, Milton Keynes, is seeking an Analytical Scientist to support development and optimisation of immunochromatography-based antigen content assays within the Analytical Technology Solutions Department. The role involves protein purification using ÄKTA systems and method development in UNICORN, with emphasis on assay performance and GDP-compliant documentation.

Qualifications

Experience in development, optimisation and troubleshooting of immunochromatography-based antigen content assays.
Experience with affinity chromatography and improving assay sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility.
Familiarity with protein purification and sample preparation workflows using chromatography systems.

Responsibilities

Support development, optimisation and troubleshooting of immunochromatography-based antigen content assays.
Perform protein purification and sample prep using ÄKTA FPLC systems and manage buffer prep, column setup and fraction collection.
Develop, programmе and optimise chromatography methods within UNICORN, adjusting parameters for robust results.
Operate, calibrate and troubleshoot lab instruments including ÄKTA systems and autosamplers; coordinate maintenance to maximise uptime.
Support method validation by preparing/exec validation protocols and analyzing performance characteristics like accuracy and precision.
Analyse assay and chromatography data, quantify antigen content, maintain GDP-compliant docs and communicate findings through reports.
