Job summary

Pharmaron is seeking a Technical Specialist – Bioanalysis & Biotransformation in Rushden. You will lead metabolite identification and structure elucidation using high- resolution mass spectrometry, contribute to method development, and support global regulatory and non-regulatory studies.

You will work across in vitro, in vivo, clinical, biologics, and environmental fate projects, developing training and mentoring others while ensuring data integrity and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• PhD/MSc/BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience in metabolite identification within CRO/pharma environment preferred.
• Strong chromatographic method development experience.
• Experience in GLP or regulated laboratory environments.
• Proficiency with HRMS platforms and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical expert in metabolite identification and structure elucidation using HRMS.
• Conduct analytical/metabolite identification work for regulatory and non-regulatory studies per plan and timelines.
• Support studies across in vitro, in vivo, clinical, biologics, and environmental fate programmes.
• Develop and optimize LC-MS/MS chromatographic methods within the group.
• Interpret data and prepare study updates, documentation, and reports.
• Collaborate with Study Directors and Analytical Project Managers to ensure delivery.
• Contribute to client communications and discussions where appropriate.
• Develop training materials and deliver area-specific training.
• Mentor and support colleagues with best practices.
• Lead process improvement and new service development in area.
• Maintain equipment, software and lab areas.
• Address QA findings and audits; maintain SOPs as required.
• Contribute to external visibility via publications and presentations.
