Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Coventry City Council for a Bin Delivery Driver to support the Waste Services Department with bin deliveries for the city's new food waste collection service.

This hands-on role combines driving and manual tasks, delivering food waste bins and related materials to residential properties across Coventry, ensuring on-schedule deliveries and high service standards.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)

Responsibilities

• Drive the Bin Delivery Van safely.
• Deliver food waste bins and materials to residential addresses across Coventry.
• Follow planned routes and schedules.
• Complete delivery records accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure deliveries meet targets and quality standards.
• Maintain high standards of customer service with residents.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support the Waste Services team with other duties as required

About the Role

The role is ideal for reliable individuals who enjoy being out on the road, working independently and providing a high standard of service to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the Bin Delivery Van safely and responsibly.
• Deliver food waste bins and related materials to residential addresses across Coventry.
• Follow planned delivery routes and schedules.
• Complete delivery records accurately.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Ensure all deliveries are completed efficiently and to agreed targets.
• Maintain high standards of customer service when interacting with residents.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
• Support the Waste Services team with other duties as required.

Essential Requirements

• Full UK Driving Licence - Category BAged 18 years or over for insurance purposes.
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to providing excellent service.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
