Job summary

Alternative Heat Ltd. in Banbridge head office is seeking a CAD Technician to join the BIM team.

You will learn to use a range of computer-aided design software, produce 2D drawings from 3D models, and contribute to design projects across our energy-centre and district heating schemes. The role offers training under experienced technicians, a Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm schedule, and a competitive salary dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce 2D construction drawings (plans, sections, elevations and details) from 3D models.
• Add annotations and specifications to drawings.
• Check drawings for accuracy and adherence to company standards.
• Collaborate with CAD, design, pre-construction, offsite manufacturing and installation teams.

Role Overview: The CAD Technician, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career as a CAD Technician. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will learn how to use a range of computer-aided design software, create technical drawings, and contribute to various design projects. This position is ideal for individuals who have a strong interest in engineering and design and are eager to develop their skills under the guidance of a strong, multi disciplined CAD Team.

What You'll be Doing
