Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Head of BIM to lead TAIT's Building Information Modeling capability across design, engineering, and delivery. You will shape the BIM strategy, standards, and governance, while guiding a team of BIM Managers and Coordinators to ensure consistent project delivery.

The role partners with design, engineering, technology, and project-delivery leaders to translate business needs into practical roadmaps and high-quality digital information lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in architecture, engineering, construction management, digital construction or related field.
• Proven senior BIM leadership experience across multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience implementing BIM standards, governance and roadmaps across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement TAIT's enterprise BIM strategy, roadmap and governance.
• Establish BIM standards, templates, libraries, model requirements and QA processes.
• Lead BIM team: Managers and Coordinators; oversee recruitment and succession planning.
• Provide strategic direction for BIM execution, coordination, clash management and information exchange.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, manufacturing and project teams to align BIM workflows with delivery processes.
• Select and manage BIM platforms and connected tools, including CDEs and collaboration workflows.
• Create BIM implementation plans, playbooks, training, and change-management activities.
• Define and monitor BIM performance measures and risks; report to leadership.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, clients, and vendors to advance BIM capability.
• Stay current with BIM standards, automation, interoperability and industry practice.
