Job summary

Balfour Beatty seeks a BIM Manager for the NZT project in Redcar, coordinating BIM activities and information management across internal teams, designers, and suppliers. The role requires strong knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM standards, and hands-on experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud.

Experience in MEP or building services is desirable, with the ability to lead model coordination and deliver high-quality information on schedule. The position is based on site in Redcar, UK.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in a BIM, digital engineering or information management role.
• Strong working knowledge of BS EN ISO 19650 and its practical application on live projects.
• Experience of managing BIM delivery within a contractor, consultant or engineering environment.
• Good working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud, including Autodesk Docs and Model Coordination.
• Experience of developing and maintaining BIM Execution Plans and project information management procedures.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary models and managing model review processes.
• Understanding of information delivery planning, including MIDPs and TIDPs.
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a busy project environment.
• Attention to detail and practical approach to improving information quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead BIM and information management activities across allocated projects.
• Support the implementation of BS EN ISO 19650 processes and project information standards.
• Develop, maintain and implement BIM Execution Plans and information management procedures.
• Manage project Common Data Environments using Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Establish and maintain workflows, permissions, naming conventions, codes and approvals.
• Coordinate model production, federation, review and issue across teams and subcontractors.
• Coordinate modelling activities with offshore BIM teams and supply chain partners.
• Provide briefs and training to modelling teams and monitor delivery against scope and quality.
• Monitor compliance with information requirements and BIM standards.
• Review models and drawings for quality and consistency.
• Manage model coordination and resolve design clashes.
• Collaborate with design managers and engineers to improve information quality.
• Support Master Information Delivery Plans and Task Information Delivery Plans.
• Coordinate BIM requirements across MEP and wider disciplines.
• Assist project teams with Autodesk Construction Cloud and other tools.
• Provide BIM guidance and track actions through to resolution.
• Support information exchanges and formal delivery gateways.
