• Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) and ensure compliance with information procedures.
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants, subcontractors and site teams for information exchange.
• Monitor model quality and information standards across project.
• Identify and resolve model-related issues to support design and construction.
• Drive digital construction best practice aligned with programme.
• Provide reporting on BIM performance and information delivery.

BIM Lead - Data Centre

The Opportunity

A Tier One Main Contractor is seeking an experienced BIM Lead to join a major Data Centre project in West London on a contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a BIM professional with a strong background in large-scale construction projects to take a leading role in BIM strategy, digital coordination and information management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and management of BIM processes across the project.
• Develop, implement and maintain the project BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and associated standards.
• Oversee the coordination, quality and delivery of project information and digital models across multiple disciplines.
• Manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) and ensure compliance with project information management procedures.
• Coordinate with design teams, consultants, subcontractors and site-based teams to ensure effective information exchange.
• Monitor model quality, information standards and compliance with project requirements.
• Identify and resolve model-related issues, supporting efficient design development and construction delivery.
• Drive digital construction best practice and ensure alignment with project programme and deliverables.
• Report on BIM performance, model progress and information delivery to the wider project team.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a BIM Lead or BIM Manager on major construction projects.
• Previous experience working for a Tier One Main Contractor or within a large-scale construction environment.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, information management processes and ISO 19650.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary BIM deliverables and coordinating large project teams.
• Proficiency with relevant BIM software and Common Data Environments.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Previous Data Centre experience would be advantageous
