Job summary

Arup is seeking a skilled BIM Designer to join the Civil Engineering team. You will lead detailed CIVIL 3D models, coordinate multidisciplinary work and support digital delivery on major infrastructure projects, including highways, drainage and earthworks.

You’ll maintain data standards, assist with Common Data Environments, and help embed BIM best practices and ISO 19650. The role offers training, a collaborative culture and opportunities to contribute to digital innovation within the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC in Civil Engineering or related discipline (HND/Degree accepted).
• Strong understanding of ISO 19650 and BIM standards for data consistency.
• Proven experience modelling with Civil 3D and coordinating multi‑discipline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of detailed civil models and drawings using Civil 3D and Navisworks.
• Support clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure coordination fits BIM Execution Plans.
• Maintain model data structures and digital standards across projects.
• Learn and embed Arup’s digital workflows and promote efficient digital techniques.
• Contribute to internal innovation and BIM capability development.
