Job summary

Arup is seeking a Senior BIM Technician in Cardiff to deliver high-quality BIM and CAD outputs for complex water infrastructure projects within a multidisciplinary design environment.

You will develop 3D models, surfaces, alignments, and detailed components using Civil 3D and Revit, coordinate outputs, review data, and mentor junior colleagues while upholding client and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit for infrastructure design delivery.
• Experience using ACC and ProjectWise for collaborative design and document control.
• Background in water or infrastructure projects with understanding of relevant UK standards preferred.
• Experience in reinforcement detailing and/or steel fabrication drawings.
• Good understanding of BIM workflows and QA procedures, including client drawing standards and deliverables.
• Strong collaboration skills with experience working in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Review survey data for design suitability and carry out quality checks on models and drawings to maintain high technical standards across project deliverables.
• Support and mentor junior team members and apprentices, helping develop their BIM and CAD skills.
• Contribute to best practice sharing and continuous improvement within the team’s digital delivery processes.
