Job summary

Kier Group's KierBAM team in Plymouth at Devonport Royal Dockyard is seeking a CAD Engineer to support the BIM team in delivering high-quality drawings and documentation on a major infrastructure project.

The role requires AutoCAD proficiency, rebar design experience, and familiarity with ISO 19650; you will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and help ensure compliance and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD with experience in rebar design and detailing.
• Solid understanding of civil/structural design and drawing production.
• Good communication and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Awareness of ISO 19650 (Level 2 BIM) or BS1192 standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality technical drawings and documentation as part of the BIM team.
• Ensure drawing work complies with ISO 19650 and CAD standards.
• Review drawings with Document Control before client submission.
• Produce rebar design and detailing with accuracy.
• Train and mentor site engineers on drawing production standards.
