Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking a Bills of Materials (BOM) & Item Master Controller to own product data, BOM structures, and engineering change processes. You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Finance teams to ensure data integrity and streamline MRP planning.

Strong Excel, ERP experience (Microsoft Business Central) and 3 years in manufacturing are essential. The role focuses on maintaining accurate BOMs, managing revisions and effectivity dates, and driving

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in manufacturing, planning, engineering, or master data management.
• Awareness of electrical components is ideal but not essential.
• Strong understanding of BOM structures and MRP principles.
• Good ERP experience, ideally Microsoft Business Central.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience within discrete manufacturing, assembly, or engineered products environments.

We're recruiting on behalf of an innovative manufacturing business seeking aBills of Materials (BOM) & Item Master Controllerto take ownership of critical product data, Bill of Materials (BOM) structures, and engineering change control processes.

Key Responsibilities

• The Bills of Materials (BOM) specialist will be taking production information from customers and creating the Bills of Materials whilst supporting the Production team
• Creating and maintaining accurate multi-level BOM structures.
• Managing BOM revisions, effectivity dates, and engineering change implementation.
• Supporting MRP planning activities and resolving data-related planning exceptions.
• Driving master data standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Acting as the key link between Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Finance teams.

Key Attributes

• 3 years' experience in manufacturing, planning, engineering, or master data management.
• An awareness of Electrical components is ideal but not essential
• Strong understanding of BOM structures and MRP principles.
• The BOM Specialist will need to have good ERP experience, ideally Microsoft Business Central.
