Job summary

Davis-Ulmer Family of Companies is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to handle invoicing and accounts receivable in our Liverpool office. You will prepare invoices, verify data, follow up on payments, and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely cash flow.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Office-based role with standard business hours and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or in a related finance role.
• Strong knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate invoices for products/services rendered to clients.
• Review and verify billing data and documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments, and resolve discrepancies.
• Respond to client inquiries regarding billing issues, discrepancies, and payment terms.
• Maintain, organize, and update billing records and customer accounts in the billing system.
• Collaborate with sales and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
• Assist in preparing financial reports related to billing and collections.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned.
