Job summary

Aberaeron Primary School is seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom and beyond.

You will support pupils, including those with additional needs, work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, and help develop Individual Education and Behaviour Plans while promoting inclusion and positive behaviour. DBS check is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Fluent in both Welsh and English.
• Experience of working with or caring for children.
• Holds NVQ 3 or equivalent with good literacy/numeracy.
• Can use ICT effectively to support learning.
• Positive, flexible and able to build strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Understands safeguarding, inclusion and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Work with teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities.
• Support the development of Individual Education and Behaviour Plans.
• Promote inclusion, independence, and positive behaviour.
• Assist with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and wider school activities.
