Job summary

Yolk Recruitment is seeking a People Officer to support delivery of a high-quality HR service across the organisation. You will work with the People Manager across recruitment, ER, L&D, equality, governance and HR administration, acting as a first line contact for HR enquiries and maintaining confidential records.

This hybrid role involves travel between office locations and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience providing first-line HR/People support in a busy HR environment.
• Welsh language skills are essential; bilingual English/Welsh in meetings and communications.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes, employment law and best practice.
• Experience maintaining HR systems, records and people data.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to work toward CIPD qualification if not held.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment campaigns from advert to appointment with hiring managers.
• Manage onboarding for new employees with a positive induction.
• Provide first-line HR guidance to managers and employees.
• Support employee relations casework including absence, disciplinary, grievance and capability.
• Contribute to HR policies, processes and best practice guidance.
• Ensure practices comply with employment law and organisational policies.
• Act as a key HR contact ensuring timely, accurate responses.
• Maintain HR systems and confidential employee records.
• Produce reports to support workforce planning and decision-making.
• Coordinate learning and development activities and training programmes.
• Support equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
• Contribute to People team projects and continuous improvement.
