Job summary

Cameo Consultancy (Recruitment) Limited is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join a busy, people-focused team in Banbury. This full-time, office-based role supports managers and staff across the full employee lifecycle, providing practical guidance and hands-on HR support.

You'll handle absence, ER matters, recruitment, onboarding, HR reporting, and continuous improvement while ensuring UK law compliance. Salary up to £37,000 DOE plus benefits; 31 days holiday and pension are included.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR Officer or HR Advisor.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR processes.
• Experience supporting employee relations cases.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
• Supporting employee relations matters including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance processes
• Coordinating recruitment, offers, pre-employment checks and onboarding
• Supporting managers with investigations, meetings and HR documentation
• Managing absence, wellbeing and Occupational Health processes
• Maintaining accurate HR records and producing HR reports and management information
• Supporting employee engagement, communications and recognition initiatives
• Assisting with HR projects, policy updates and continuous improvement
• Ensuring HR processes are consistent, compliant and aligned with UK employment legislation
