Are you an innovative leader who enjoys bringing thought leadership, new ideas, and creativity to make a tangible impact? We are seeking a Bids Team Leader to lead a team of enthusiastic bid writers, develop winning bid strategies, and adopt the latest technology to support Lucion Group. We offer flexible working arrangements with a hybrid role based ideally out of our Runcorn (Preston Brook) office.

How You’ll Contribute

1. Support business unit leaders in achieving their goals, focusing on winning new clients and retaining existing ones.
2. Bring continuous innovation and thought leadership to ensure the Bids team adopts the latest tools and technology to modernize bid writing.
3. Design and deliver collective goals and individual targets aligned with business priorities.
4. Implement and expand the use of new and existing tools to improve the bid writing process, management reporting, and dashboards.
5. Provide training and development through personal development plans, training programs, and best practice adoption, including house writing styles and win themes.
6. Use and evolve a defined bid process and time management strategies to optimize workload.
7. Utilize data-driven insights from third-party data, tools, and technology to identify trends and increase win rates.
8. Build and maintain a horizon of bid opportunities over the next five years to position the company for future success.
9. Conduct lessons learned analyses for continuous improvement and feedback.
10. Report to the CCO on activity targets and goal attainment.
11. Collaborate with departmental heads to ensure the Bids team has access to the latest information supporting the bid process.
12. Ensure team members invest in their knowledge and education to stay informed about our services, markets, and competitors.

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience in bid writing, preferably in risk management or environmental consultancy markets.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer literacy.
• A full UK driving license.
• Familiarity with contractual agreements and client management.
• Proactive, self-motivated, commercially minded, and target-driven.
• Interest and enthusiasm for technology and innovation, including AI.
