Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bids and Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing team. This role is integral to supporting our efforts in securing new business and enhancing our company’s market presence. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of bid documents, support marketing campaigns, and help maintain our brand's consistency across various platforms. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to grow within a fast-paced, supportive environment.

The successful applicant must have a high level of attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills and a willingness to learn. To succeed in this role, you must be able to prioritise a complex and varied workload, whilst demonstrating a hardworking and flexible approach to meeting challenging deadlines.

Main responsibilities

Bid Support:

  • Assist in the preparation, editing, and submission of high-quality bid and tender documents in collaboration with the Bids Manager and other team members
  • Conduct research to gather relevant information for bids, including competitor analysis and client needs assessments
  • Maintain and update the bid library, including templates, case studies, and other reference materials to ensure consistency and efficiency in bid production
  • Track bid progress and deadlines, ensuring that all submissions are completed on time and meet the required standards
  • Support the post-submission process, including compiling feedback, monitoring outcomes, and coordinating follow-up actions

Marketing Support:

  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media and content creation
  • Update and maintain the company’s website, ensuring that content is current, engaging, and aligned with the company’s brand
  • Support the creation of marketing materials, such as brochures, presentations, and newsletters
  • Monitor and respond to online reviews, comments and feedback
  • Collaborate with the team to organise and attend promotional events and activities
  • Help with the renewal of company accreditations
  • Assist with other ad-hoc tasks as required to support the wider business

Position Requirements

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with design software (e.g. Adobe InDesign) is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Proactive, hardworking and flexible when approaching challenging deadlines
  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends, to support marketing events and/or ensure critical deadlines are met (though this will be rare)
